“The completion of the new factory represents not merely expanded space, but also an upgrade in manufacturing methods.”
On the morning of September 17, 2026, a delegation of leaders from Gaohang Town visited the new factory of Shanghai KANSA Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd. for an inspection and research tour. Manager Pan and department heads of the company accompanied the visit.
During the tour, the government and enterprise sides exchanged views on the development of advanced manufacturing. The research team went deep into the production site to inspect production line construction, learn about the company’s technological innovation and overseas market layout, and witnessed the enterprise’s transformation from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing. The town leaders listened to the company’s requests on-site and learned about practical demands including capacity expansion and market expansion after the new factory was put into operation.
Touring the New Factory: Moving to a New Plant, Marching toward a Smart Factory
Following the relocation to the new premises, KANSA Refrigeration has upgraded its production environment, production line layout and manufacturing capacity. Targeting the construction of a smart factory, the enterprise has introduced automated production equipment and built an information management system. It realizes full traceability covering orders, production, quality inspection and delivery, and improves product consistency and delivery efficiency through digital manufacturing.
The research team toured each workshop in sequence. In the sheet metal workshop, they inspected laser cutting, CNC bending and automatic welding processes, and learned about the machining precision of structural parts and anti-corrosion processes. In the heat exchanger workshop, the delegation focused on core procedures such as tube expansion of copper tubes, fin assembly, pressure resistance and air tightness tests. In the condenser workshop, leaders carefully inquired about coil structure, end plate strength and cleaning control, paying close attention to the long-term operational stability of heat dissipation systems. In the assembly workshop, they observed pipeline arrangement, electrical wiring, unit commissioning and full pre-delivery inspection procedures.
At every stop, the leaders asked detailed questions about process standards, R&D investment and market application, and encouraged the enterprise to continuously consolidate its core processes.
Behind the upgrade of every production line lies the redefinition of standards for each working procedure.

Implementing Guiding Principles: Independent Control Is the Foundation of Manufacturing
During the visit and discussion session, the town leaders stated that the real economy is rooted in manufacturing, and enterprises should implement the requirements for advanced manufacturing development into production and operation.
KANSA Refrigeration has long been engaged in industrial chiller manufacturing, with products serving industries including injection molding, laser processing, new energy, chemical engineering, food & pharmaceuticals, and printing. The enterprise adheres to in-house R&D at the source, supporting core components and integrated unit delivery, and continuously polishes product quality.
The leaders noted that the key to developing advanced manufacturing lies in independence and intelligence. They expect KANSA Refrigeration to take the launch of the new factory as a new starting point, further develop smart manufacturing, tackle core technologies, expand brand influence, and enable more domestic industrial customers to access stable and energy-saving domestic refrigeration equipment.

Enterprise Development Roadmap: Smart Factory · Independent R&D · Brand Promotion · Global Market
Manager Pan introduced the company’s future development plans on-site: build a smart factory and improve production efficiency and quality control via digital and green transformation; increase investment in independent R&D, continuously optimize refrigeration systems and temperature control solutions, and strengthen the independent controllability of the industrial chain; elevate brand value by shifting from simple equipment sales to integrated temperature control solution provision; expand domestic and overseas markets, consolidate the domestic customer base and continuously explore overseas channels; improve the full-cycle service system covering pre-sales selection, delivery follow-up and after-sales maintenance.
Manager Pan stated that the company will stay committed to its industrial roots, embed smart and green concepts into every chiller product, and let “KANSA Intelligent Manufacturing” go global from Gaohang, Shanghai.

From Made in China to Smart Manufacturing in China: The Global Journey of a Single Chiller
From raw steel plates to finished units, and from manual production scheduling to data-driven manufacturing, the growth of KANSA Refrigeration mirrors the continuous breakthroughs of local equipment manufacturers. The launch of the new factory is not only an update of plant buildings and equipment, but also an upgrade of the enterprise’s development mindset. Supported by its smart factory and self-developed technologies, KANSA Refrigeration competes in the global market with reliable products, advancing steadily toward high-end, intelligent and green development.

Making every chiller stable and refined is our most fundamental confidence for global expansion.
